Day Three

As a result of Million Dollars for Mom, a total of $468 has been donated to pancreatic cancer research. Some may think that is a slow start, I believe it is a great beginning. All we need is to reach a million people and ask them to donate $1.00. I am not sure there is a person reading this who doesn't have a dollar in change.


If we all can work together, we can convince them to go to pancan.org or to http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/evamckinney/KeeptheMemoryAlive and donate. Someone asked me once, "how do I keep from getting this type of cancer?" My husband and I said at the same time, "you can't really do anything." She was shocked. There are some risk factors, but researchers still are unclear what actually causes pancreatic cancer. One doctor told my mom that it is the smart cancer because no matter what they do, it always comes back. I don't know if this is 100% factual, but no matter what they threw at my mom, her body threw it back. Her cancer grew. I have met many people who have been touched by this beast and the results were almost identical to my mom's. The only way to stop this disease is to raise money for more research. Please just part with one dollar, help fight pancreatic cancer. Together we can move this mountain.
